A website blocks VPNs or shows the wrong country
Sites see the server's country and IP address. Some block VPN addresses — try another location.
"It shows the wrong country"
That's the VPN working: websites see the IP address and country of the Ghostunnel server, not yours. If you want a site to see a particular country, create a tunnel for that location.
Some sites also use other signals — your account settings, your browser's language, or location permission on your device — so they may still guess where you are.
"The site blocks me or keeps showing CAPTCHAs"
Some websites block or challenge traffic from VPN servers, because many people share each server's address. Try:
- A different location — disconnect your tunnel and create one elsewhere.
- Clearing the site's cookies, or a private browsing window.
- Turning the tunnel off for that site if you don't need it there.
Banking and payment sites
Banks sometimes flag sign-ins from an unusual country. Using a location in your own country, if we have one, usually avoids that.
Please use Ghostunnel within our Acceptable Use Policy and the terms of the sites you visit.
