Set up on Android

The quickest way to set up a phone is to scan your tunnel's QR code. You'll need a tunnel in your Ghostunnel account — create one on a computer so you can scan the code from its screen.

1. Install WireGuard

Install WireGuard from Google Play. It's also linked from Downloads.

2. Scan the QR code

1. On your computer, create a tunnel. Its QR code appears right away, under Scan with your phone.
2. In the WireGuard app, tap + and choose Scan from QR code.
3. Scan the code and give the tunnel a name, such as the location.

The configuration is shown once, right after you create the tunnel — we don't keep its private key. Already left that page? Open the tunnel from Tunnels and select Get a new configuration.

3. Connect

Turn on the switch next to the tunnel. Android asks once for permission to set up a VPN connection — allow it. A key icon appears in the status bar while you're connected. Turn the switch off to disconnect.

No computer handy?

Create the tunnel on the phone itself, select Download .conf on the page that follows, then in WireGuard tap + and choose Import from file or archive.
