These Subscription & Refund Terms explain how Ghostunnel’s plans, payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds work. They form part of our General Terms of Service.
1. Our plans
Every account is on one of two plans. The current limits and prices are always shown on our Pricing page.
- Free — no payment needed. One device, a monthly data allowance, our standard locations. Connections stay on while you use them; one left unused for 30 days is released, after an email warning a week before (you can connect again whenever you like).
- Premium — a paid monthly subscription. Up to five devices at once, unlimited data, and every location, including Premium-only locations.
Plan limits are applied automatically. Your monthly data allowance resets at the start of each calendar month (UTC).
2. Payment
Premium is paid by card through Stripe, our payment provider, using Stripe’s secure checkout. Stripe processes your card details; we never see or store your full card number. Stripe’s own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment.
Prices are shown on the Pricing page and at checkout, in the currency shown there, and include or exclude taxes as stated at checkout. Your bank may charge its own fees, for example for currency conversion.
We currently sell Premium only through our website. If we later sell it through an app store, that store’s terms will govern payments and refunds made through it.
3. Automatic renewal
Premium renews automatically every month until you cancel it. At the start of each new period we charge the card on file the then-current Premium price. You can see your plan and next renewal date in Settings → Billing, and your invoices under Manage subscription & invoices.
If we change the Premium price, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before the new price applies to you. If you don’t want to pay the new price, cancel before your next renewal.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing → Manage subscription & invoices, which opens Stripe’s customer portal. You can also update your card there.
When you cancel, your subscription won’t renew. You keep Premium until the end of the period you have already paid for, and your account then moves to the Free plan. Your account itself is not deleted; if you want that, contact [email protected].
When you move to the Free plan, anything it doesn’t allow is disconnected automatically — for example connections on extra devices, or connections to Premium-only locations.
5. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it, and we keep your Premium plan working for 3 days while you update your card. If the payment still hasn’t gone through after that, your account moves to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted, and you can upgrade again at any time.
6. Refunds
If you’re not happy with Premium, you can ask for a refund within 30 days of your purchase by writing to [email protected] from the email address on your account. We may first offer to help with a technical problem, but you don’t have to accept that help to get your refund.
The 30-day refund applies to your first payment for Premium, and to a renewal payment if you ask within 30 days of that renewal. Refunds go back to the card you paid with; it can take several business days for your bank to show them. Once a refund is issued, your subscription is cancelled and your account moves to the Free plan.
We may refuse a refund where:
- we have closed the account for a serious breach of our Acceptable Use Policy;
- refunds are being requested repeatedly to use Premium without paying for it;
- the payment was disputed or charged back through your bank.
Outside the 30-day window, payments are not refundable, including for the unused part of a period after you cancel, unless the law where you live says otherwise or we closed your account for reasons other than your breach of our Terms.
7. Invite friends
Each account has an invite link. When someone new creates an account through it and first pays for Premium, you and they each get one month of Premium free: as a credit against your next payment if you subscribe, or as a month of Premium added to your account if you don't. A trial or a free account doesn't count. You can earn up to 12 free months in any 12 months. Free months have no cash value and can't be transferred. We may withhold or remove a free month that was obtained by abusing the programme — for example by inviting yourself — and we may change or end the programme, without affecting months already given.
8. Your legal rights
If you are a consumer, you may have rights under the law where you live — such as a right to withdraw from an online purchase within a set period — that apply in addition to these terms. Nothing here limits those rights. If you are entitled to withdraw and you started using Premium during the withdrawal period, we may deduct an amount for the service you used where the law allows it.
9. Changes to our plans
We may change what each plan includes. If a change significantly reduces what Premium gives you, we will tell you in advance, and you may cancel and ask for a refund of the unused part of your current period.
